Fun lil project, I chose the evil, satanic ,bass-playin' Murdoc of Gorillaz fame for a celebrity portrait assignment. Slowly but surely I think I'm managing to work faster...hehe, what a weird statement that is, huh?

This is the finished Lost Boy's tree fort...and yeah, they carve their huts into goofy faces with swirlies and mustaches.

Peter Pan re-design superpost

Me and some friends got together and decided to re-design the story of Peter Pan in 24 hours.

Rough backstory to my version:

In the days since Wendy has left the island, Never Never Land has become a more brutal place. Pan has cut off Captain Hook's hook. In retaliation, Hook launched a campaign against the Lost Boys, eventually capturing and slaying the whole tribe. With no home, Pan has taken refuge with the Indian tribe, giving him an even more feral attitude. Being the trickster that he is, he now fights with Hook's severed 'hand'. Hook has covered up his amputated hand with an armored cloak, and now wields nets at all times in preparation for an attack from the flying Peter Pan.

So yeah, after the mini crit in class, I am now changing the light source, experimenting with hair and about to add some layers of grit to the background. I was feeling a lil bored with this piece but I think its pickin' up...

Working on my first illustration assignment for a brutal short story titled 'Until Gwen'. If I can finish this one quick enough I'm gonna try and finish 2 more. The face, hair, diamond, and legs need alot of work still, and I'm not sure if the background is gonna stay solid or not.
